Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower,

But only so an hour.

The leaf subsides to leaf,

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn gose down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

This poem is about the things that come and go, like sunset. Sunset comes and goes.

This poem's meaning is that all things have to go. They come one day, but leave the next. For example, us humans. One day we are born, and one day will will have to leave this world. That is the meaning of this poem.

My Poem:

Beautiful In Its Way

Flowers come in many hues,

Making it in the daily news.

Insects are feared by most,

But they are not at all gross.

Beautiful creatures roam this land,

But even they must have their end.

You must remember before you run away,

That everything is beautiful in its way.
